29th Annual Scientific Meeting
The 29th Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) is a premier gathering of global medical experts, clinicians, and researchers dedicated to Advancing AI Clinical Translation. This year's meeting serves as a critical platform for exploring the integration of artificial intelligence into clinical practice, fostering collaboration across disciplines to improve cardiovascular outcomes and patient management in Hong Kong and beyond.

Mission of the Institute is to strive for excellence in research, teaching and training in cardiovascular sciences which contributes to the prevention and patient management of cardiovascular disease in Hong Kong.
Conference Themes
AI-Enhanced Cardiovascular Imaging and Diagnostics
Focuses on the application of deep learning and computer vision in interpreting echocardiograms, cardiac MRIs, and ECGs. This subtheme explores how AI can automate image analysis, improve diagnostic accuracy, and detect subtle early-stage pathologies that human eyes might miss.
Predictive Analytics and Precision Cardiology
Explores how machine learning algorithms analyze vast datasets (including electronic health records, genomics, and biomarkers) to predict cardiovascular risk. Topics include risk stratification, personalized treatment algorithms, and preventing adverse cardiac events before they occur.
Smart Wearables and Remote Patient Monitoring
Examines the integration of AI with IoT (Internet of Things) devices and consumer wearables (like smartwatches and continuous monitors). This covers real-time arrhythmia detection, heart failure monitoring at home, and translating continuous data streams into actionable clinical decisions.
Machine Learning in Cardiovascular Therapeutics and Drug Discovery
Highlights how AI is accelerating the pharmacological pipeline. This subtheme covers the use of AI in identifying novel cardiovascular drug targets, simulating molecular interactions, and optimizing clinical trial designs for faster bench-to-bedside translation.
AI-Assisted Cardiovascular Interventions and Surgery
Delves into the future of the operating room and catheterization lab. Topics include AI-guided procedural planning, robotic-assisted cardiovascular surgeries, and real-time algorithmic navigation during complex structural heart interventions.
Ethics, Data Governance, and Real-World Implementation
Addresses the crucial non-clinical hurdles of clinical translation. This subtheme tackles data privacy, algorithmic bias in diverse patient populations, regulatory approval processes, and how to seamlessly integrate AI tools into everyday clinical workflows without disrupting physician-patient interactions.
